Children’s Minister

Children’s Minister

Deciding to go into ministry was not in my plans, but it sure was in the Lord’s.  After working for the City of El Paso and taking time to raise my children; I was asked to work in children’s ministry at my church.  It offered me the opportunity to work with godly people that encouraged me and could see that the Lord had bigger plans.  After seven years as the Children’s Minister’s Assistant I felt the Lord
calling me to help our church start another branch at another location, as their part-time Children’s Minister.  It was an amazing blessing to me and my family to serve the Lord in this capacity and it was one of the most rewarding ministries that I have been a part of.    From this experience and love for children the Lord led me to a full time position at Scotsdale where I serve as the full time Children’s Minister.  Children’s Ministry holds a special place in my heart. I came to know the Lord at a young age and I know how important it is to have a place where children can grow in his word.

During my time away from the ministry I enjoy spending time with my husband and three kids. I have a daughter and son attending UTEP and our youngest daughter is a student at Montwood High.  My husband of 24 years has recently retired and during our spare time we enjoy riding his Harley and going to the movies.  I am blessed to have a family that is always there to encourage and willing to help work as a team for the Lords kingdom.  I know that all of this is possible with God’s help.
